ROD STEWART

It was 1971 when I first heard of Rod Stewart.  Rod's song "Maggie May" had hit the charts and was growing in popularity.  Little did Rod realize that 30+ years later it would still be reguested by young and old alike.

One of the first concerts I went to was a Rod Stewart concert in 1972.  From that moment on I was a die-hard fan.  Now some 31 years later I've been to numerous shows to see him and I can honestly say he's only gotten better with age.  His shows still sell out and his performance still
has the energy and the passion that makes the crowd beg for more.  I've actually gotten to say a few words to him and was tongue-tied.  He'll always be "in my heart".

THIS MAN GETS BETTER WITH AGE - 2000

So now at 58 years old he's still rockin' and a rollin' with the best of them.  A true artist with a raspy, soulful sound that has written over 250 original songs.  He's also into "soccer" and plays with a team in the L.A. area.  He's quite good at it, too.  So I just hope he continues to tour and I'll be right there holding onto my cane if I have too.  He will always be forever young.
